EDUCATE THE ECOSYSTEM
An educational proposal through micro-ecosystems
Anyone who knows me knows that since I was a child I have always been a great fan of insects and terrariums, also thanks to my father who has always nurtured and shared this passion with me, as well as obviously continuing it in the Agrarian study.
In this moment of social ferment, in which it seems that people are finally becoming aware of the environmental problem, I find it vital to study and understand how an ecosystem works, to study that delicate balance that allows the ecosystem to survive.
Perhaps you have heard of "Ecosphere" or "Vivai in bottled": they are small sealed environments (of an aquatic or terrestrial nature) in which the forms of life within self-stabilize as in a small ecosystem creating an "eternal" environment .
I think that trying to do in schools (science professors, this is for you!) And in educational environments such experiments can be of great interest, as you could let kids study directly in the field how an ecosystem works and what are the its delicate balance that regulates its vital functions, as well as being able to observe over time the various animal and plant species within them, as well as the effects of soil erosion.
Below I write a brief guide on how to make a simple "bottled ecosystem", which you can make both at home and in school classes.
